Further track of the line toward Birkenfeld substation. After tower 23 (to smaller numbers!) the line is in use as replacement for the old towers of the 110 kV-line from Birkenfeld to Pforzheim-Nord. If you take a close view on the picture you can see one of these old towers, which has no conductors any more.

The 380 kV branch to Birkenfeld substation consists mainly of strainers. One of the few suspension towers is Tower 26, whose height is 65.2 metres.

Tower 5A of the double-circuit 110 kV-line Winnenden-Pfahlbronn-Goldshöfe in the southern industrial zone of Winnenden. Originally the 110 kV-line Winnenden-Pfahlbronn-Goldshöfe was in its whole length implemented as overhead line with a garland-like communication cable on the ground conductor. When in Winnenden a new hospital was built, the line was undergrounded in the southern parts of Winnenden in order to allow helicopters flying safely to and from the heliport of the hospital.
Therefore Tower 5 was replaced by the 32.76 metres tall terminal tower 5A.
Later the garland-like communication cable was replaced together with the ground conductor by a ground conductor with integrated communication cable.
However in the section between Tower 4 and 5A, where the old communication cable was freely spun, the old ground conductor was left as support for aircraft warning markers.

The 380 kV/110 kV-powerline Pulverdingen-Oberjettingen terminates at Tower 66, which is situated north of Ehningen, its paralell course to the historic powerline Hoheneck-Herbertingen. Simultanously at this tower a 110 kV double-circuit branch to a substation in Böblingen-Hulb starts, which is however at present only with a single circuit with a voltage of 20 kV in use (the other circuit is however still in place, but unused)
The powerline Pulverdingen-Oberjettingen has at this section three communication cables: one fixed like a garland at the ground conductor, an other fixed like a garland at an auxiliary rope on the pinnacle just below the first one and a self-supporting cable at the height of the second crossbar.

At the next tower in direction Oberjettingen, Tower 67, the lower garland-like communication cable ends and the self-supporting communication cable changes its position from the second crossbar to the pinnacle just below the ground conductor with the garland-like communication cable.
Beside this Tower 67 is equipped since 1982 with several antennas, which are used for radio relay and cellphone services.

A few hundred metres southward the historic and today unused powerline Hoheneck-Herberingen changes its direction from southern in eastern direction

Powerlines in Freiberg am Neckar north of Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck substation in the dawn. The bright star is the planet Venus.

Tower 56 of 110 kV-powerline Oberjettingen-Merklingen southeast of Althengstett with the setting constellation of Taurus in the background. The bright star-like object is the planet Jupiter.

Tower 51 of 110 kV-powerline Stalldorf-Königshofen. It is the penultimate tower of this line before its end in Königshofen substation. Originally on the towers of the 110 kV-powerline Stalldorf-Königshofen only one circuit was installed. The second circuit on the right side of the tower was installed in 2024.
