Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
Tower 25A of the 110 kV-powerline Sindelfingen-Leonberg-Pulverdingen with its communication cable fixed like a garland on its ground conductor.
The tower was built in 2009 as replacement for a tower of same height and type, but of weaker structure, which carried the number 25.
Already before 2009 the line had six conductors and a garland-like communication cable on its ground conductor.
I do not know exactly, when this line was built, I believe it was 1954, but I am not sure. However until 1977 this line had only three conductors, but already at the beginnings of the 1970ies a garland-like communication cable on its ground conductor.

Tower 13A of the 110 kV-powerline Sindelfingen-Leonberg-Pulverdingen with its communication cable fixed like a garland on its ground conductor.
The tower, which is situated east of Magstadt, was built in 2009 as replacement for a tower of same height and type, but of weaker structure, which carried the number 13.
Already before 2009 the line had six conductors and a garland-like communication cable on its ground conductor.

Tower 21A of the 110 kV-powerline Sindelfingen-Leonberg-Pulverdingen with its communication cable fixed like a garland on its ground conductor.
The tower, which is situated northeast of Magstadt, was built in 2009 as replacement for a tower of same height and type, but of weaker structure, which carried the number 21.
Already before 2009 the line had six conductors and a garland-like communication cable on its ground conductor.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
Powerlines south of Oberjettingen substation. The line on the left is the 110 kV single-phase AC line of the German Railway Company from Stuttgart-Zazenhausen to Eutingen, the line in the middle is the 380 kV-line from Oberjettingen to Engstlatt and the line in the right is the 110 kV-line from Oberjettingen to Tübingen. It has on the section between Oberjettingen substation and the startpoint of the branch to Mötzingen substation 6 conductors and 2 cmmunication cables, one attached to the ground conductor and one to an auxiliary rope above the conductors. On the remaining section of this line it has three conductors and a communication cable attached on its conductor garland-like.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
On April 18th, 2025 I visited again the 380 kV-branch from the 380 kV-line Philippsburg - Pulverdingen to Birkenfeld, which is amazingly still not complete. As described in earlier postings it starts north of Mühlacker-Enzberg from two strainers. The eastern of these strainers (left on the first and second picture, right on the third picture) has a height of 95.65 metres, while the other one measures 88.15 metres.
The conductors in the foreground of the first picture belong to the 110 kV-line Enzberg-Knittlingen. On the third pictures one can see a tower of the 110 kV-line Wiesenthal-Vaihingen of the German Railway Company, which has 4 single-phase AC circuits (8 conductors). On the second picture one can see a pylon with a single crossbar, at which 4 conductors end. It belongs to the new section of the single-phase AC 110 kV-line Mühlacker-Karlsruhe of the German Railway Company, which will replace an old line section not visible on the picture.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
The first towers of the future 380 kV-branch to Birkenfeld substation. The tower on the right in the foreground carries the number 41, followed by the 40, 39, etc.
All these towers carry on their lowest crossbar two 110 kV single-phase AC circuits (4 conductors) for the reconstruction of the single-phase AC circuit line Karlsruhe-Mühlacker of the German Railway Company. It is remarkable that the used crossbar is designed for 6 conductors in spite of the fact that only 4 are installed.
Obviously a transposition is planned for one circuit at Tower 41.
The height of Tower 41 is 83.55 metres, that of Tower 40 95.55 metres, that of Tower 39 95.55 metres, that of Tower 38 89.55 metres, that of Tower 37 (the first tubular tower in the line) 73.2 metres, that of Tower 36 68.55 metres and that of Tower 35 71.55 metres.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
On April 18th, 2025 the conductors between Tower 33 and Tower 29 were still not installed and the construction of 4 towers required for the reconstruction of the 110 kV single-phase AC line of the German Railway Company has even not started, so the line cannot be energized.
As you can see on the picture of my previous posting the 380 kV-systems are interconnected between tower 40 and 41 in order to make the circuit Philippsburg-Pulverdingen workable.
The red-white mast in the background right of the powerline towers is the 273 metres tall mast of Mühlacker transmitter.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
The line gap ends at Tower 29, which has a height of 50.95 metres and will be, when the line is completed, used as transposition tower.
