Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
It seems the GDR-built power line was designed for 2 circuits. Was the second circuit ever built?
Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
It was never installed.
Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
On January 28th, 2025 I made again a photograph of Stalldorf substation. When you compare the following picture with that on https://www.hoogspanningsforum.com/view ... start=1070 , you can see that many changes took place since 2023: the double-circuit 110 kV-line leaving the substation was replaced by a 110 kV-line with 4 circuits, which splits 1.2 kilometres west of Stalldorf substation in the double-circuit 110 kV-line to Lauda and the double-circuit 110 kV-line to Niederstetten, whereby latter line shares on most of its length the towers of the 380 kV-line Kupferzell-Stalldorf.
On the 380 kV-line Kupferzell-Stalldorf, which can be seen on the picture on the left, the second 380 kV-circuit was installed. As this line passes Stalldorf substation, it cannot be used before it is completed until Grafenrheinfeld. While directlty east of Stalldorf substation construction work has already started, on most parts of the powerline no work has begun. This is therefore remarkable as there at first the lowest crossbar has to be installed on the towers, before conductor stringing can start.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
The towers of the 380 kV/110 kV-line Pulverdingen-Oberjettingen carry between Tower 61 and Tower 67 3 communication cables: one fixed as a garland on the ground conductor, one fixed as a garland on an auxiliary rope on the pinnacle under the ground conductor and one attached to the body of the towers at the height of the bottom of the second crossbar.
Latter cable is in opposite to the first mentioned cables freely spun.
The following pictures shows Tower 64 of 380 kV/110 kV-line Pulverdingen-Oberjettingen and a close-up view of its pinnacle.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
The first four towers of Facility 610 (German: Anlage 610, Powerline Herrenberg-Oberjettingen) north of Herrenberg carry on their lowest crossbar not only the circuit of the 110 kV-line Herrenberg-Ehningen-Maichingen-Pulverdingen, but also two grounded ropes on which a communication cable is fixed like a garland.
The towers carry also a freely spun communiction cable in their body at the top of their lowest crossbar. The following pictures show the third tower of this line.

Tower 238 of Facility 4524 is a strainer northwest of Freiberg am Neckar of the 380 kV-powerline Rommerskirchen-Bürstadt-Hoheneck, the first and oldest 380 kV-line in Germany. At this tower a communication cable from Hoheneck substation, which is fixed at the bottom site of the lowest crossbar in the body of the tower, ends.

Re: Duitse hoogspanningsmasten
On the last towers of the 110 kV-powerline from Pulverdingen to Ditzingen there is also a single medium voltage circuit installed. This circuit branches at Tower 23 before its overhead section ends after two concrete poles. The following picture shows Tower 23 of the 110 kV-powerline from Pulverdingen to Ditzingen and the two concrete poles of the branching medium voltage line.
One can also see the conductors of the powerline Pulverdingen-Weilimdorf. This powerline, which uses double conductors ,was originally a single-circuit 220 kV-line and is today a double-circuit 110 kV-line, It runs between Pulverdingen and Tower 23 of the powerline Pulverdingen-Ditzingen paralell to this line.
