This powerline was originally built in 1935 (Harbke-Spandau) by Elektrowerke AG and used this type of tower since then.

In the 1920ies a 110 kV-powerline was built from Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck to Karlsruhe. In 1980 the section of the line situated northwestly of Pforzheim was rerouted to large pylons, which are capable of carrying two 110 kV and two 380 kV-circuits and which carry the designation "Anlage 7620".
However the crossbars for the 380 kV-circuits remained unused at first. Later a 10 kV-circuit was installed on it.
In 2005 the section between Pforheim-Nord and Pinache was dismantled, later two conductors of the remaining line section on old towers were removed.
However in July 2022 work has started to bring the large pylons northwest of Pforzheim to its original purpose. Therefore it is not only planned to replace the 10 kV-circuit by a 380 kV-circuit and to install a second 380 kV-circuit, but also to replace the actual tower spires by "v"-shaped spires.
The new 380 kV-line will run north of Pforzeim to the 380 kV-line Philippsburg-Pulverdingen, from which it will branch.
It is planned to use for the new line some towers of tubular design (I will post pictures, when they will be built)

- Tower 8 of Anlage 7620, a 81.66 metres tall suspension tower. It is designed for carrying two 380 kV-circuits on the upmost and two 110 kV-circuits on the lowest crossbar, but actually only a single 10 kV-circuit is installed on the upmost crossbars.

The next tower, Anlage 7620, Mast 9 is the last tower of the renewed section. The 10 kV-circuit on the upmost crossbars ends there and also the actual unused 110 kV-circuit on the lowest crossbar ends on it in an unusual manner.
The 59.36 metres tall pylon is also equipped with many antennas for cellphone transmissions and directional radio services.

Speaking of towers with a tubular design, will they look like these pylons from the line Doetinchem - Niederrhein?

110 kV-powerline Singen-Gurtweil, 220 kV-powerline Stockach-Gurtweil and 380 kV/220kV-powerline Herbertingen-Tiengen near Blumberg-Kommingen, a few kilometres north of the German-Swiss border.

In this thread I posted shortly some pictures of electricity pylons north of Pforzheim. On September 9th, 2022 I was again in the area and some changes occurred, although none of the steel-tube pylons was erected so far.
The pinnacles of the shown towers were replaced by "v"-shaped pinnacles and one new pylon of the line was erected. Remarkable on this pylon is that the distance between lowest and middle crossbar is much bigger than that between upmost and middle crossbar.

Some powerlines near Wörth am Rhein. In the background one can see the "Rheinhafen-Dampfkraftwerk Karlsruhe", a large coal-fired power station.
