Tower 169 of 380 kV-powerline Philippsburg-Pulverdingen. The towers of this line are designed for carrying 4 circuits with a voltage of 380 kV, however only 2 are installed. On the section between Pinache and Pulverdingen it carries additionally to the two 380 kV-circuits a single 110 kV-circuits. Between tower 169 and tower 170 the arrangement of the conductors and the type of used towers change.
As one can see on the picture, the arrangement for the 110 kV-circuit change from an arrangement in 2 levels to an arrangement in one level at tower 169.

Between tower 169 and tower 170 of this line the arrangement of the 380 kV-circuits change from an arrangement with 4 conductors on the top and 2 conductors on the middle crossbar to an arrangement with 2 conductors on the top and 4 conductors on the middle crossbar.
Interestingly at this tower at transposition for both 380 kV-circuits took place, short before its end. The line runs over 4 further towers before it ends at Pulverdingen substation.

Further powerlines between Heilbronn and Leingarten. The portal was built for an undercrossing of the 220 kV-line Hoheneck-Beerfelden under the 220 kV-line Hoheneck-Rheinau. Now it is used for a 220 kV-branch from 220 kV-line Hoheneck-Rheinau to Grossgartach substation.

On the left, there is the 110 kV single-phase AC powerline Neckarwestheim-Neckarelz of the German Railroad Company, DB AG, in the middle one can see the 220 kV-line Rheinau-Hoheneck, one of the oldest 220 kV-lines in Germany. On the right in the background there is the also old 220 kV-line from Hoheneck to Beerfelden. Originally it undercrossed the 220 kV-line Rheinau-Hoheneck on two portal pylons you can see on the picture. However in 2004 the section between Hoheneck and Leingarten was demolished and one of its circuit was disconnected. The other is operated with 110 kV. Obviously this line is in process of a transformation in a double-circuit 110 kV-line starting at Grossgartach substation. For this purpose a new tower visible on the right was erected.

Tower 257 of Facility 4508 (old powerline Hoheneck-Herbertingen). This tower, which is situated southeast of Eningen unter Achalm will remain as technical monument.
